Malaysia Super Car Series Round 2 Sepang F1 Circuit Malaysia 27th May 2007

I used my Porsche 997 cup car which I use for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia as my 996 was not ready for this race. I qualified 2nd. Wira took pole position in his Radical SR8

And Peter Hills was 3rd. I couldn’t beat the Radical because it was so faster than my car.

Race 1.
I got a very good start and good a very good lead and was able to finish 1st. Wira was second and Steward finished 3rd in his Porsche.

Race 2.
I got a good start again and was leading till the 12th lap and on the straight Wira over took me. I tried to keep up but his straight speeds are so faster because of his light weight car with a V8 engine and he also drove well. I finished 2nd and Steward finished 3rd. According to MSS rules as Wira won the 2nd race he was declared the winner and I was 2nd and Steward was 3rd.

Now Wira and I both have 70 points each and we are both leading in the series. It will be really difficult to beat Wira unless he makes a mistake. My 996 will be ready for the next round and I am hoping to make few changes to get a little bit more power.

I will be competing in the Asia GT championship on the 24th of June at Sepang and it will be my birthday. I think this race will be really interesting as there are 12 Porsches and 12 Ferraris competing. This will be a good race as all cars will be in a equal condition
