Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Round 1 & 2 at Sepang Malaysia 7th & 8th of April 2007.

We had the first races for the season and it was great to be back in PCCA.

I qualified 8th.

Round 1.

I started with a used set of tires so the first few laps was difficult to keep up with the front runners. But finished 7th.

Round 2.

I got a good start and on the 4th corner I was able to over take Vuitthikorn and again in the back stretch he over took me but I over took him again on the straight while braking for the first corner. In the 3rd lap I tried to over take Nigel in the 4th corner and we hit each other. Vuitthicorn over took me again on the 4th lap and I couldn’t get in front of him again. I over did about 3 times and he got away from me. But by the end of the race I was able catch up and was only 4 seconds behind. I think I had a very good race. My lap time during the race was faster than qualifying I finished 7th. I think I had a very good start for the season and I am anxiously waiting for the next round because I am very confident now to get to the podium. This year we have very good drivers like Tim Sugden who is one of the best Porsche drivers and also Christian Jones son of former F1

World champion Alan Jones. So this year will be really interesting.
