Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Round 3 & 4
Sepang F1 Circuit Malaysia 5th and 6th May 2007

I qualified 7th. In round 3 I got a good start but in the first corner Alain Lee spun in front of me so to avoid him I had to break and go from out side. Then William and Geoff passed me from the inside. I was able to over take Geoff in the next corner and he is a very good person he let me go. In the 2nd lap William also let me go he was so nice as he is in the B class he just let me pass. I did same times as my Qualifying times and I was trying to get close to Sawa but I couldn’t and finished 6th. I had the same gap between Sawa from the start. Round 4 I started 6th on the grid. I had a good start and the first few laps I was running close to Nigel and Vutticorn. I saw Alain chasing behind me and few corners he was almost to knock me. But on the 10th lap in the first corner while I was turning he couldn’t control the car and hit my bumper sending both of us spinning. My engine stopped and it took almost 15 seconds for me to recover and get back to the circuit by the time Alain was gone and few others passed me. It was really disappointing I was doing well and would have finished 4th. Later I saw Alain again spinning and he never finished the race I was able to pass few but ended up 8th. Any way I had to cool my self thinking this is racing. If I made a mistake I would have felt better but Alain would have easily avoided this and both of us would have ended the race in good positions. My lap time was faster than my qualifying so I was happy with that. I know I am very close to the podium but need that fine tuning of the car. I will think about a good way to do it in Sentul which will be in July. I will be competing in the next Malaysia Super car series on the 27th of this month.
