Aston Martin Asia Cup Round 1 & 2
Shanghai F1 Circuit May 24th & 25th .

This was a great race and Sri Lanka will go to history as this is the first ever Aston Martin One make Cup car race ever held. I was so happy to win both races and bring pride and glory for our mother country Sri Lanka.
I qualified 3rd . 1st was Sasaki from Japan and 2nd was Melvin was only .0009 Seconds faster and Mark Williamson was 4th.

Round 1.
I was able to keep my position as 3rd for the first corner and in the 2nd lap on the first corner Sasaki went wide and Melvin and I over took him I was trying to overtake Melvin many times and we had few bumps and I tried to under brake him in the 4th lap and I went out and then Ringo and Mark over took me. Any way I got back to the track and over took Mark and by then Ringo had overtaken Melvin and was running 1st. After few laps with great difficulty I over took Melvin having few bumps he was driving great by then Ringo has pulled away but I some how wanted to win this first ever cup race by the 12th lap I was able to overtake him and kept my position to finish 1st. I had a few bumps with Ringo also but as all these cars are of same power it is very close racing but as we all are very good friends there was nothing after the race. Ringo finished 2nd and Mark Eddy finished 3rd.
We had many good drivers such as Sasaki Japan GT300 champion and few other good drivers from Australia and they were great guys we had lot of fun.

Round 2.
I started on the front row and I had a good start and after that I never had a challenge I pulled away and finished with a big lead. After I saw Ringo was far I took it easy but I never made a mistake. Again Ringo finished 2nd and Mark Eddy 3rd and Sasaki 4th. It was a great week end I must thank Speed Sri Lanka for sponsoring and giving me all the support and our Engineer Steve Waudby who did a great job by getting me the best set up and every one else including all the mechanics and our Sri Lankan media. I am so happy we will be going to History of Aston Martin one of the most prestigious cars in the world. I some how want to win the championship this year.
