Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Round 10
and Aston Martin Asia Cup round 8 Shanghai
F1 Circuit China October 18th and 19th.

Aston Martin Asia Cup.
We had 30 minutes of Testing and then qualifying. While I was testing I still had the problems with the brakes. We changed few things for the qualifying but still had the problem. I qualified 4th but was only 1.3 seconds behind Sasaki who took pole. But I was finding it difficult to drive with the brake problems.

After qualifying we changed the brake calipers and the brakes discs once again.

So I had to bed the Discs within the formation lap of the race.

I had a good start and over took Ringo in turn 1 and I was running 3rd.

I was very close to Sasaki and Danny and I thought to take it easy and start pushing after the 3rd lap.

The handling of the car was very good because Steve did a very good set up and I knew I could take both of them. But in lap I found the brakes fading again and in the back straight while I was doing 250kmph I found there were no brakes and Sasaki and Danny was just in front of me I knew I am going to hit them which would have been very bad so I managed to avoid them but the car was going straight to the wall I had nothing to do but luckily I turn the steering and the car went side ways and hit the wall.

It was really bad because I had no way to stop the car. I was not injured and the car was not also really bad.

The sad part of it was I didn’t get any points and Sasaki won the race and he is leading now with 16 points and 2 races to go.

I will still not give up chasing the championship because in racing any thing can happen.

But I think we will be able to fix this brake problem before the last race which will be on the 12th and 13th of December in Shanghai once again.

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. Round 10.
While testing I was doing good but qualified 7th 1.5 seconds faster than last year and I was only 1.5 seconds behind Tim who took pole position. So with Steve teaching me all the good ways to drive I am going faster in the Porsche.
I had the best start for the season and by lap 4 I was 4th. I used both my 2 sets of tires for qualifying and had a flat spot so the tires were not in good condition but my lap time were very good on lap 6 I saw Tim behind me and he over took me in lap 9 and I didn’t want to hold him up as he was running for the championship I thought to take it easy and finished 5th. But I am really happy because now I can keep up with the top guys. I was only 1 second slower than Tim's best time so I know very soon I will be giving a good run for the front runners and will be on the podium very soon may be in Bahrain which will be the last 2 races on the 8th and 9th of November.
I learnt a lot from Steve and he pushes me really hard and I really appreciate He is a great teacher. I want to put Sri Lanka on top of the world in racing and I will work very hard in the coming months and test as much as possible and I hope all Sri Lankans living all over the world will give me a hand.
