GT Asia Round 9 and 10 AutoPolis Circuit Japan 1st and 2nd October.

After the accident in Suzuka my car had to be fixed in Japan and Mr. Mitsuru Fuji fixed it for me and was so generous to deliver it to Auto Polis. I didn't test on Thursday as we had to do all the set up and I wanted the boys to take it easy. On Friday in the 1st test I was 3rd fastest but in the 2nd test I was fastest.

On Saturday for qualifying I took pole in both sessions for both races. I am still running with the old engine against all fast cars but my mechanics did a great job by setting up the car so well so I could be very fast in the corners.

Round 9. 1st Oct
I couldn't get a good start and Weng in his Ferrari got in front of me to the 1st corner and I couldn't ove rtake him as his car was too fast on the straight but I was running bumper to bumper in every corner. When I went in to the pits for the pit stop I lost about 5 seconds and joined behind Eddie Yau and Weng. We passed Weng but I couldn't pass Eddie as his car was also too fast in the straight I was trying to over take him in many corners but didn't have space. But just before 3 laps to finish the race I over took him in a corner and we hit each other and he spun but I was able to continue and it was an racing accident. I was then given a Drive through penalty and I crossed the finish line in the pit lane where I was 1st. But I was given another 30 seconds penalty and was given the 4th palce. It was really disappointing as I had to work really hard with a slower engine to keep up and pass the fast cars. Any way the decision was taken by the Stewards and that was it. I did the fastest lap too.

Round 10. 2nd Oct.
I got a good start and was able to get in to the 1st corner leqading the pack. As I was not blocked I got away from Weng and Eddie and by the 3rd lap I had a big lead after a while I thought to take it easy as I had build up almost 15 seconds gap. I won the race and Weng was 2nd and Eddie was 3rd. I also did the fastest lap. Although the first race was dissapointing it was good to win again and make every one smile as I felt really bad for the crew who always did the best for me. They are a great bunch of guys. I have lot of Japanese fans when I race in Japan and they were so happy. This year I carry the Japanese flag also on my car after the Tsunami to give them moral support. Now I am 2nd in the championship and 1 more race to go which will be in November in Macau.
