Malaysia GT Round 1 Race 1 and 2 Formula 1 Support race
8th-10th April 2011.

I competed in the Malaysia GT championship which was the support event for Malaysia F1 on the 8th 9th and 10th of April. There was a field of 35 cars drivers from all over the world. I competed in my Lamborghini LP560. I thought of giving a message to Japan from every Sri Lankan as Japan has been the biggest funder for our country to develop. So I carried the japanese Flag and the Wording " WE LOVE AND SUPPORT JAPAN WE ARE ALWAYS WITH YOU" in English and Japanese. I my self fulfilled my dreams by going to Japan and living there for 23 years.

I was fastest in testing, took Pole position in Qualifying and won both races. On the 9th in 1st race when I won the circuit didnt have a Sri Lankan Flag so they used the Malaysian Flag and played the Malaysian National Anthem. But as I had a Sri Lankan Flag at home I took it the next day to the Sepang Circuit and when I won the 2nd race The Sri Lankan Flag was flying high with Namo Namo Matha playing for almost 3 minutes. I have done this 3 times at Formula 1. Every one was thrilled and all the Formula 1 teams congratulated me for winning and also giving a message to Japan.

All the other Asian countries India, Malaysia and Japan spends millions of Dollars but they have not achieved what Sri Lanka achieved without spending a cent. All my sponsors are from Malaysia and Hong Kong. RAY AX and SATA is from Malaysia and my new sponsor Chronoforce is from Hong Kong.

I am sad that I can not get any support from Sri Lanka. But I think the things will change as we have a new dynamic Sports Minister. I am sure he will support me and I think he is the best for this position and H.E has made the best decision.

My next race will be end of May. I will be competing in Malaysian GT and also GT Asia which I won the championship last year. I would like to seek help from all of you to support me and find Sponsors specially from Sri Lanka.
