PICCA ROUND 4&5 BIRA THAILAND JUNE 12th.
It was once again an exciting race. I really love this circuit
but did not have good results. But I think I did the best
I could do with the car. We were having few problems with
the suspension on the test sessions and we came to find out
the tire rod ends and lower arm bushes were worn out. SO
we couldn’t do much changes until we found the problems. But
still it was not 100% ok and we decided to change the dampers
as they are the same ones from new which is the 3rd year
and it is high time to change. But we didn’t have time and
we will change them for the next race in Beijing on the 17th
of July. All the A class cars run very close and I am sure
there will be another good race in Beijing and hope to do
my best.
I qualified 9th.
On round 4 I didn’t get a good start and was blocked from
the driver in front of me for many laps and nearly spun out
2 times. As the circuit is very tight it is so difficult
to overtake
Unless you have little bit more power or to get a very good
slip stream. Any way had to settle down and finish 9th.
On round 5 I over took Gene Lee on the second corner and
was running with the top guys for about 12 laps until the
car started under steering which I think due to the dampers.
Finished 8th. Last year I couldn’t finish both races in Bira
so I was happy to finish and earn points.
