PICCA Round 10 Shanghai 16th October 2005

The test were okay but we still had few difficulties in setting up the car. Qualified 11th which was not so good I think we were running too much tire pressure.

On the race I was over taking few in the first 4 laps and I was by the 5th lap and on the 6th lap I had spin which put me back to 12th position. But I managed to push and finish 8th once again my race time was faster than the qualifying if not for the spin I would have finished 5th or 6th. Although I finished 8th the official position was 5th as there were 3

Unregistered drivers. With this I came 6th in the championship.

PICCA Round 11 Macau 20th November 2005

This was the race I was always waiting for the best and most thrilling circuit for me. As I arrived in Macau I was with high fever and I knew I was going to have a hard time.

Compared to last year this year was lucky as the car didn’t have any mechanical problems during the test and the qualifying and the race. Now I know the circuit and next year will be a great race. I was 7th in testing which we get only 30 minutes. Qualified 9th and finished 8th in the race once again as there were 3 unregistered drivers the official position was 5th. I managed to keep my 6th position in the championship. Through out the week end I was so sick and most of the time slept in the Hotel didn’t have much time to party with the good pals. I think this was a good season as I had only bad luck in the first round. My idea was to finish this season better than last year and to have less accidents which I was able to do and I am happy with my results with the 2003 car. I will use this car for few endurance and sprint races in Malaysia and China. Will use this car for testing in January in Sepang and Johor before testing the new car.

Next year will be the best season as we all have the new 997 and we will also be doing few new circuits. I have confidence next year that we will have lot of podiums. I must thank my sponsors Mr.Hayashi and Taiwan for supporting me and the Media in Sri Lanka who always gives the best support all my fans and every one who had supported me through out the year.
